I am volunteer at a low budget sport organization. I am trying to setup a configuration whereby:
A PC/ Raspberry Pi with HD webcam runs VLC to (RTSP?) stream game-footage
Other windows-10 PC’s run VLC to monitor the footage. Aim is for an operator to allow ‘stepping back’ into the game (5-6 seconds?) with keyboard stroke in order to look closer into a situation. Upon examination, operator must be able to ‘jump’ to the ‘now’ of the stream.
We also want to record the complete stream (8 hours or so); willing to cut it into pieces if we must.
VLC is our platform of preference for this, can this be achieved?
