User Reported a Problem - What to do?

Received a notification “it doesn’t work/installation problem” with no message. The theme has been downloaded thousands of times and I just checked it again. What am I supposed to do? At least with comments, the user needs to tell me what’s wrong.

Hi, and thank you for flagging this — honestly, we appreciate that you took the time to report it instead of just shrugging it off. You’re completely right: a
bare “it doesn’t work / installation problem” with no further detail gives you nothing to act on, and that’s on us, not on you.

We agree so strongly that we’ve reworked how these reports work. Here’s what’s now in place:

  • Structured reports instead of a vague flag. Reporters now have to pick a concrete reason (e.g. does not work, wrong version, broken download, missing
    dependency) and can add a short description, so the report carries actual information.
  • A new “Issues” tab in your creator dashboard. Instead of a cryptic notification, you see the reports for each of your products in plain terms — the reason,
    any text the reporter added, and the date. You can jump straight to editing the product, and once you’ve looked into it you can mark the issue as done to clear
    it from your list (that’s just for you — it doesn’t notify anyone).
  • No public “naming and shaming.” Quality reports are not counted in the public “reported X times” indicator and don’t hide or penalize your product. They’re
    there to help you spot real problems, nothing more.

For this specific report: it came in through the old flag, so there unfortunately isn’t more detail attached. If the theme installs and works fine on your end,
there’s nothing you need to do — it may well have been a one-off issue on the reporter’s side. Going forward, the new flow makes these reports genuinely
useful to you.

Excellent response, thankyou. I’ve tried going to the “Issues” tab but get a ‘Not Authorized’ page even though I’m obviously logged in. I presume it will take a little time before its working.

Yes, my information was not complete. It was published but not yet fully activated. But it should work now. Just let me know if there are any problems or if you have any suggestions for improvement.
