Try these, they work on my 16.04 - One line at a time:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/icons
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install faenza-icon-theme
sudo apt-get install faience-icon-theme

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ravefinity-project/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install vibrancy-colors
sudo apt-get install ambiance-flat-colors radiance-flat-colors
sudo apt-get install ambiance-colors radiance-colors
sudo apt-get install vibrantly-simple-icon-theme

Hi Brainstorm,

what themes have you tried?
Also did you download and manually installed them or did you use XDGURL and the Install button on the site?
If those are older themes, they might or might not work, if you write a comment below the theme maker, he will get an email notification of your message.
If the themes are dead, please post a link and we might remove them.
