# Cant login to matrix-chat

Hi,
here [2] chat - opendesktop - org the hint
> Sign in to your Matrix account on [chat.opendesktop.org](http://chat.opendesktop.org)
is displayed. No registration option is offered.
I registered at [1] [opendesktop.org](http://opendesktop.org) today. My questions:
1)Is it correct that my username/password from website [1] can also be used for [2]?
2) If the answer to question 1) is “No”, where can I register username/password for [2]
I use lowercase letters for login. That is hint for browser-based-login:
Browser Chromium Version 91.0.4472.101 (Official Build) Built on Ubuntu , running on Ubuntu 18.04 (64-bit)
With SchildiChat App I get this message after the login attempt:
“It looks as if the server takes too much time to respond. The reason may be a bad connection or an error on the server. Please try again later”
Is it a bug, or I’m doing something wrong?
